Hotel Excelsior Ltd.-Unit Shangri-La

You can find us over at R-126A in Model Town-III, Delhi. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for quite a while now. The building is a bit of a landmark for those who live around here. We run things under the Shangri-La name, but it’s really just us local folks doing the work. It’s a hotel where we see a lot of families and people visiting the university area nearby. The rooms are what you’d expect from a place that’s been around for a bit. We try to keep things in good shape, but sometimes the age of the building shows. We don’t mind that though; it gives the place some character. Our staff is mostly people from North Delhi. We don't have a big corporate office somewhere else making all the decisions. We just figure things out as we go. If someone has a problem with their stay, they talk to us directly. We’re not fans of big, fancy words. We just want to make sure people have a place to stay that isn't too complicated. Model Town is a nice area with a lot of history, and we’re glad to be a part of it. We see a lot of the same faces year after year. It’s not a flashy life, but it’s ours. We just keep the doors open and the beds ready for whoever needs them tonight. It’s just how it is around here.
