Hotel Connaught

We have been running Hotel Connaught over in Shahdara for a while now. If you know Gali Number 2 in Kartar Nagar, that is where we are. It is a busy part of Delhi, especially near 3 Pusta. Sometimes the street gets a bit crowded with traffic, but that is just how things are around here. We just go about our day, making sure the rooms are okay and checking people in when they show up at J-680. It is not a fancy place with big signs, just a regular building where we do our work. Most people who come by are just looking for a spot to stay for a night or two while they handle business in the city. We try to keep things simple. My cousin helps out sometimes with the cleaning, and we make sure the water is running and the lights work. Shahdara can be quite noisy during the day with all the shops and people moving about. We have seen the area change over the years, more houses going up and more traffic on the main roads. We do not have a big office or anything, just the front desk and the rooms upstairs. It is honest work. We are usually around most of the time if someone needs something. The address is easy to find once you get into the lane. We just stay focused on what needs doing today. It is a bit dusty sometimes but we sweep every morning.
