We are based at 1-D-4 in the Taj Apartments on Rao Tularam Marg. It’s a well-known spot in New Delhi, but our office is quite modest. Being in an apartment building makes it feel more like a home than a workplace. We have a few rooms set up with desks and filing cabinets. It’s quiet inside, even though the road outside is always busy with cars and buses. We deal with a lot of paperwork and meetings. People come by to discuss various things related to the hotel industry. We sit in the main room and go over documents together. The furniture is a bit dated, but it’s sturdy. We don't see the need for anything flashy. We have a small kitchen where we make our own tea. Most of us take the bus or drive here every morning. The 110022 area is quite central, so it’s easy for people to find us. We don't have a big reception area or a person waiting at the door. You just ring the bell and come in. It’s a very informal environment. We talk about the industry issues in a plain way. No corporate jargon. Just real discussions about what’s happening. We’ve been here for a long time and the walls are covered with old photos and calendars. It’s just our regular workplace where we try to stay organized and get through the list of things to do. We usually head out by six.
