Hotel Ahaluwalia Stuttee , Karol Bagh

The hotel is located at E 753 in Babarpur, even though the name mentions Karol Bagh. It’s a bit of a distance between the two, but this is where we are actually based. Babarpur is a different kind of area, more residential and tucked away in the 110032 part of Delhi. The building itself has been here for years. It’s not one of those new glass-and-steel hotels you see in the fancy parts of town. We have regular rooms and a small lobby where people sit and wait. My day is mostly spent checking people in and out or talking to the staff about what needs fixing. It’s a lot of work to keep an old building running. Sometimes the paint peels a bit or a door squeaks, but we do our best to keep it tidy. We get all sorts of guests, from people traveling for work to families visiting relatives nearby. It’s a very simple operation. We don’t have a big restaurant or a pool. It’s just a place to stay. The street outside can be a bit messy sometimes, especially when it rains, but that’s just life in this part of the city. We’ve been here long enough that the neighbors all know us. It’s a modest place and we don't try to pretend it’s anything else. We just provide a room and a bit of help when someone asks. It is hard work but we manage it.
