Hilton Hotel,Janakpuri, New Delhi

We are over here at B-124 in the Karbala area, right on the second floor. It is part of the B.K. Dutt Colony near Torbag Lane. Most people know the Hilton name from Janakpuri, but this is where we handle things day to day. New Delhi is a busy place and this little corner of the city is no different. We spend a lot of time answering phones and looking at papers. The stairs up to the second floor can be a bit much when you are carrying bags, but we are used to it by now. It is a real neighborhood feel around here, not like those big fancy office blocks. You see the same faces every morning when you come in for work. Sometimes the traffic on the lane gets backed up, but that is just New Delhi life for you. We have been here for a while and the office has its quirks, like the way the light hits the desks in the afternoon. We just get on with the work that needs doing. There is always someone coming or going, asking about rooms or checking on details. It is not always quiet, but it is our spot. We keep things moving as best as we can from this floor in Karbala. It is a practical setup for what we do, and we just try to get through the daily tasks without too much fuss or trouble from the busy streets outside.
