In Sonipat, we are located at House Number 507-A/13. We’re right near the Neelam Mata Mandir in the Four Marla area. It’s a good landmark, so most people don’t have much trouble finding us once they get to the temple. Hcl Infosystems Ltd operates out of this residential-style building. It’s a quiet enough street most of the time, though it gets busier during festival days at the mandir. Our setup is pretty straightforward. We’ve got a couple of rooms dedicated to the technical side of things and a small space for our records. It’s not a shiny corporate office. We have old desks and the floor is a bit worn in places where we move the chairs around. Sonipat is a decent place to work, not as frantic as Delhi but still keeps us on our toes. We spend a lot of time on our machines, checking parts or fixing software bugs. Sometimes the neighbors pop their heads in to say hello or ask a quick question. We don’t have any fancy brochures or a front desk person. If you come by, you’ll probably just see one of us hunched over a motherboard. We drink a lot of chai and just try to get through the daily list of tasks. It’s honest work, and we like the fact that we’re right here in the neighborhood where people can reach us easily. We stay until the light starts to fade, then we lock up.
