We’ve been here at 4/172 in Jor Bagh Market for a good while now. It’s a busy spot, especially in the afternoons when people are out doing their errands. The shop isn't fancy, just a place where we keep all the things we’ve gathered over the time. Most days start with opening the shutters and sweeping the front step because the dust from the street gets everywhere. Handicrafts is just what it says on the sign outside. We have piles of stuff sitting around, some on shelves and some just tucked away in corners. Customers come in looking for something specific, or sometimes they just wander in from the market to see what’s new. It’s a small space, so you have to watch your step. The light isn’t always the brightest, but it works for us. We spend a lot of time sorting through stock or just talking to the folks who live nearby. It’s quiet in the mornings before the rest of the market really gets going. We don’t have any big corporate plans or anything like that. It’s just us here, doing what we do every day. Sometimes the tea man comes by, and we take a break. That’s pretty much the way things go around here. We know the neighbors, and they know us. If you’re ever walking through Jor Bagh, you’ll probably see our door open. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the place stays organized enough to find what people need.
