Down at 492, Second Floor, on the Chirag Delhi Hanuman Mandir Road is where we do our work. It is easy to spot the building because it is so close to the temple. Being on the second floor means we get our daily exercise going up and down. The stairs are a bit narrow, so we have to watch our step. We handle things for the hotel and restaurant association here. It is mostly admin stuff, filing papers and replying to letters that come in. The office has some old wooden desks and cabinets that have been here for a long time. It feels like a place where people actually work. The road outside is always full of life, with people visiting the temple or just going about their day. We hear the bells and the traffic noise all through the day. It is not a quiet or sterile office like the ones in the new business parks. We have a routine, starting with some tea and then looking at the emails. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out by chatting for a bit. We don't have any bright signs or fancy decor. It is just a practical spot for us to handle the association’s business. Most of us have been here for years, so we know where everything is, even if it looks a bit crowded to anyone else. It is just a regular part of the city for us.
