We are located at Khasra No. 5 on Chattarpur Mandir Road, which is pretty easy to find because we are right opposite Hotel Golden Tulip in Fatehpur Beri. Working at Amit Marbles Pvt. Ltd. means you are always surrounded by stone. Huge slabs of marble are everywhere you look, and they are heavy, so we have a crane that does most of the hard work. The yard is big and open, so when it rains, everything gets a bit muddy, and when it’s dry, everything is covered in white dust. We spend our time showing people the different patterns in the stone and explaining why one piece looks different from the next one. It is not like a regular shop; it’s more like a workshop where things are constantly being moved. The office is just a small cabin where we keep the ledger and a few chairs for visitors. We don't use any fancy sales tactics or anything. We just show what we have and let the stone speak for itself. Sometimes the traffic near the Mandir gets really bad, especially on Tuesdays, but we just work around it. It’s a grounded kind of life, working with materials that have been around forever. We just take things one slab at a time and try to keep the place organized as best we can.
