Bansal Marble & Granite is at A-1/39 in the Kirti Nagar WHS area, right near Lakdhi Mandi. If you know the area, you know it’s a hub for all sorts of building materials. Our place isn't anything special to look at from the outside, just a lot of stone and some heavy machinery. We’ve been in Kirti Nagar for a long time, and the dust is just part of the furniture now. Every morning we open up and start moving the slabs. It’s a bit of a puzzle sometimes, trying to fit everything in the space we have. Lakdhi Mandi is always buzzing, so there’s never a quiet moment around here. We don't use any high-tech stuff; we just know our stone by looking at it. People come in looking for marble for their kitchens or floors, and we show them what we’ve got sitting out. It’s physical work and your back definitely feels it by the end of the day. We don't have any polished sales pitches. We just tell people the price and where the stone came from. It’s a practical business. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but we’re still here at A-1/39 doing the same thing. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s ours. We just keep the yard open and wait for the next customer. That's the way it's been for years and it works.
