Anil Marble & Granite

Our place is at Plot No.122, in Sec.20 of Dwarka. It’s a pretty quiet spot compared to some of the main markets, which is nice for us. We have plenty of space for the granite and marble slabs to be displayed so people can actually see the patterns. Moving these things around takes a lot of care and a couple of strong sets of hands. We mostly spend our days showing different stones to people who are building new homes nearby. It’s interesting to see what colors people pick. The yard can get quite hot in the afternoon sun, so we tend to do the heavy lifting in the early morning or later in the evening. We have a small shed where we keep the more delicate pieces. We aren't some big corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s just us and a couple of helpers who know how to handle the stone without chipping the edges. We keep a simple logbook for our sales and don't really use much technology. People just come in, take a look at what we have in stock, and we figure out the delivery from there. It's a very practical way of doing business. We've been at this for years and it feels like home now. The neighbors are good people and we all kind of look out for each other when the market gets busy or the weather turns bad.
