It’s a nice and quiet part of New Delhi, postcode 110057, which is a bit different from the crowded industrial areas most textile businesses are in. We’ve set up our workspace here to handle the textile goods side of things. It’s not a huge warehouse, more like an office where we coordinate everything and keep our records straight. We spend our mornings going through emails and checking on where the shipments are in the system. The street outside is usually lined with trees and stays quite peaceful, which helps when we’re trying to get through a lot of complicated paperwork or accounting. We’ve been working with textiles for a long time now. It’s a lot of looking at swatches and talking to suppliers on the phone. We don't have a big corporate structure or fancy managers. It’s just a handful of us who know the trade and get the work done. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish up some accounts or deal with a late delivery notice, but that’s just how it goes in this business. We don’t really do the whole marketing thing or put up big signs. We focus on doing the work and letting the results show for themselves. It’s a very straightforward setup. We keep the place tidy, but it’s definitely a working office, not a fancy showroom for guests. We’re just regular people who enjoy the textile business and like being based in this part of South West Delhi. It works for us.
