Dashmesh Traders

Our shop is at 181 Lajpat Rai Market. If you’ve ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how crowded it gets. Dashmesh Traders has been sitting in this spot for a long time. The market is always loud with people shouting and rickshaws trying to pass through the narrow lanes. Inside the shop, things are a bit cramped because we have to store a lot of stock on the shelves. Sometimes boxes are stacked almost to the ceiling. It’s just how things are in a place like this. We get all kinds of people walking in, some who know exactly what they want and others who just want to look around. We mostly deal with the regular stuff every day. The lights inside are a bit dim, but we know where everything is kept. Usually, one of us is sitting near the entrance to handle the cash and talk to whoever comes by. It’s not a fancy setup. We have an old desk and some stools for when someone needs to sit down. Lunch is usually brought from home and eaten quickly between customers. By the time evening rolls around, the market gets even busier with the lights coming on. We close up when the crowd starts to thin out. It’s a lot of work being in a busy market like this, but we are used to the rhythm of it now. There isn't much to it besides that.
