Darpan Photography

Darpan Photography is tucked away at C-104 in the Dabli Extension area. It’s a quiet enough spot until we have a big project going on. We have been taking pictures of families and events for a long time. The studio isn't huge, but we make it work with the gear we have. There are always cameras charging and memory cards scattered around the desk. Most of our work happens outside the office at weddings or local functions, but this is where we do all the editing. Sitting in front of a screen for hours is just part of the deal. Sometimes the lighting isn't right or someone blinks, and we have to figure out how to fix it later. People in the neighborhood know us and usually just walk in to ask about prices or to see if their prints are ready. We don't use any fancy sales talk. We just show them what we've done and they decide if they like it. It can be a bit chaotic during the wedding season, with no sleep and back-to-back shoots. We might miss a call here and there when we are on site, but we always get back to people eventually. It’s a good life, being able to see all the happy moments people have. We just keep things simple and focus on the images we are making. The work keeps us busy and we are always learning something new about the light.
