City Digital Colour Lab Studio. We are on the lower ground floor at K-99 in Lajpat Nagar II. If you are looking for us, we are right across from the Golden Dragon Restaurant. It’s a good landmark because everyone knows it. Our studio is in the basement, so it’s always a bit cooler down here. We spend our time editing photos and running the printing machines. The smell of ink is everywhere. We do everything from passport photos to family portraits. Sometimes people come in with old, torn pictures and ask us to fix them. It takes a lot of patience. The shop isn't very big. We have a small area with a backdrop and some lights. The furniture is a bit mismatched. I’ve been doing photography for a long time. It’s different now with digital, but the basic idea is the same. We get a lot of shoppers from the Lajpat Nagar market who stop by. We don't have a big marketing plan. We just put the photos in the window and people come in. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend hours cleaning the rollers. It’s a bit of a messy job, but seeing a good print come out is worth it. We are just a local studio trying to help people keep their memories. We have been in Lajpat Nagar for a while now and we like seeing the familiar faces of the neighborhood every day.
