Claridges Hotels & Resorts

Claridges has been sitting at 12 Tilak Marg for a long time now. It’s a quiet, leafy part of New Delhi, far enough from the noise but still right in the middle of everything. If you walk down the street, you see the old trees and the big gates of the 110001 zip code. We work here day in and day out, whether it’s in the kitchen or keeping the rooms tidy. It’s a hotel, sure, but for those of us who work here, it’s just our daily spot. We don't go for that overly polished corporate talk you hear at the new chains. We prefer things a bit more traditional and straightforward. Tilak Marg is a prestigious address, but inside, we’re just a bunch of people trying to make sure the guests have what they need. Some of us have been on the staff for years and have seen the city change around us. The building has its own character, with thick walls and high ceilings that you don't find much anymore. We spend a lot of time making sure the gardens look right and the lobby feels welcoming. It’s a lot of work, and some days are longer than others, especially when there is a big event. We just put our heads down and get on with it. It’s a nice place to spend your working hours, surrounded by history and the calm of the Marg.
