Our warehouse is at Plot 1 on Gali No. 8, right by the High Tension Road in Swaroop Nagar. If you know the G. T. Karnal Road area, you know how hectic the traffic can get around there at all hours. We are tucked away in one of the side streets. Those high tension wires overhead make a buzzing sound sometimes when it rains. The space is mostly filled with goods waiting to be moved out to customers. It’s a tight squeeze in the lane, so getting the big trucks in and out is a bit of a struggle every single day. We spend a lot of time standing out on the street directing drivers so they don’t hit the walls or other vehicles. The office is just a small corner partitioned off with some plywood. It’s got a desk, a couple of chairs, and a lot of logbooks stacked up. We drink a lot of chai to keep going, especially in the winter when the mist rolls in from the main road. It’s a busy, noisy place to work, but we’re used to it. We don't have any polished sales pitch or brochures. We just tell people what we have in stock and when it can be delivered. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting and shifting boxes and checking invoices. Swaroop Nagar is a rough and tumble kind of place, but it’s where we do our business every day.
