We’ve been running this place in Wazirpur for quite some time now. Our address is W.P-399 and it is right in the heart of a very busy area. If you know New Delhi, you know that this neighborhood doesn’t really sleep much. We deal with the rooms and all the daily chores that come with managing a hotel. It is not a five-star luxury tower or anything like that, just a regular place for people to stay while they are in the city. The staff is mostly local people who live nearby. We spend our days checking people in, making sure the beds are made, and dealing with whatever problems pop up. Sometimes the internet is slow or a tap starts leaking, and we just have to get it fixed as soon as we can. It gets pretty noisy outside with the traffic and the shops, but that is just part of being here. We don't have any fancy corporate speeches to give. We just try to keep the doors open and make sure things are running okay. A lot of travelers come through asking for directions or a place to eat, and we tell them what we know about the local spots. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, but we’ve managed to keep going for years. We just take it one day at a time and try to stay on top of the maintenance. It's just a living for us.
