Our office is tucked away in Kalkaji Extension, specifically over in Pocket A-14 at B-72. Delhi is a busy place, and this part of the city is no different. Choice Hotels India has been operating out of this spot for some time now. We spend most of our hours coordinating between different properties and making sure the bookings are actually going through like they are supposed to. It’s a lot of phone calls and emails. Some days the phones don't stop ringing and other days we finally get a chance to catch up on the paperwork. We aren't a massive corporate skyscraper type of place. It’s just a regular office where we do the work. The team here knows the hotel business pretty well because we’ve been in it for years. We don't really go for those big flashy advertisements. We just focus on the day-to-day tasks. If a room needs to be sorted or a guest has a question about a stay in another city, we handle it from here. Kalkaji is a good base for us. It’s central enough to get around but has its own local feel. We see the same people at the tea stall every morning before we head inside to start the computers. It’s steady work. We don't try to make it sound more exciting than it is. It's just about making sure travelers have a place to sleep when they arrive.
