Chirag Residency ,Hotel

Our hotel, Chirag Residency, sits at B-18 in Chirag Enclave. It is located right near Nehru Place, which is a part of town that is always full of people and cars. Being in the 110019 area means there is constant activity right around the corner. The building is not a massive skyscraper, just a comfortable and simple spot for people to stay while they are visiting Delhi. We spend most of our time checking guests in and making sure the rooms are cleaned up properly. It involves a lot of laundry, handling keys, and answering basic questions about the neighborhood. Sometimes the lift makes a little noise, but it works fine for everyone. We see all sorts of travelers coming through our doors. Some are here for business meetings at Nehru Place, while others are just passing through the city for a night or two. We do not have a giant fountain in the lobby or anything like that. It is just a front desk and some chairs for people to sit while they wait. The staff knows all the local spots for good food, so we often tell guests where to find a decent meal nearby. It feels more like a guest house than a big corporate hotel. We try to keep things quiet for the guests, though the street outside can be quite noisy during the middle of the day. It is just honest work for us and we stay busy with it.
