Chassisfactory (Opc) Private Limited

Our workshop is located at 101 E in Gali Number 5, over in Krishna Nagar, Safdarjung. It is a typical New Delhi lane, which means it can be a bit tricky to find if you aren't looking for it. We do a lot of metalwork and chassis building here, so the place usually smells like iron and oil. There is always the sound of someone grinding something or the clink of tools hitting the floor. We aren't a big factory with hundreds of people; it is a much smaller operation where everyone knows how to handle a wrench. The floor is concrete and usually has some grease stains on it, no matter how much we try to sweep up. We keep the chassis parts lined up against the walls to make enough room in the center for the main assembly. It gets pretty hot during the summer months, so we usually have a couple of large industrial fans blowing just to keep the air moving. People from the neighborhood stop by sometimes to ask for help with small repairs, and we try to help out when we can. It is a gritty, hands-on kind of job. We don't spend much time on computers or in fancy meetings. Most of our day is spent standing up, moving heavy metal parts, and making sure everything fits together the way it should. It is tiring but satisfying work at the end of the day.
