Chandigarh Institute Of Hotel Management & Catering Technology

It is a bit funny because people see the name Chandigarh and expect us to be up north, but we are actually right here in New Delhi at A460/8 Amar Puri. We are located in Gali No.2, which is part of Krishna Basti. It’s a very local neighborhood, very crowded and full of energy. We teach people how to work in hotels and do catering, so the building is often smelling like whatever the students are cooking that day. It’s not a fancy campus with green grass; it’s a practical building in a narrow lane. Sometimes the delivery trucks for the kitchen supplies have a hard time getting through the street, but we managed. The students come from all over, and they spend their days learning how to chop vegetables properly or set a table. The equipment is a bit older, and the floor is usually a bit slippery from all the cleaning we do. We don't have a big marketing team or anything; we just show up and teach. The neighborhood is mostly families and small shops, so it feels very grounded. There’s a small shop across the street where we all go to get cold sodas when the kitchen gets too hot to handle. It’s a humble setup, but we get the job done without needing any of those polished brochures you see from bigger schools. We just focus on the actual work that needs doing.
