Our business, Btc Fabrics Private Limited, is situated at 6169, Block No. 1, in Gali No. 3 of Dev Nagar. That’s in the Karol Bagh area, which everyone knows is a huge hub for trade in Central Delhi. Being in Gali No. 3 means we are right in the thick of the fabric market. It’s always loud, and there are always people moving bales of cloth around. Our shop isn't fancy. It’s filled with rolls of fabric from floor to ceiling. Sometimes it’s hard to even find a place to sit down. We’ve been here for years and have seen the neighborhood change, but the fabric trade stays pretty much the same. We deal with all sorts of customers, from small tailors to larger buyers. We don't use much marketing speak or try to sound bigger than we are. We are just a local fabric supplier trying to keep up with the orders. The traffic in Karol Bagh is famous for being terrible, so we spend a lot of time coordinating deliveries. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting and moving heavy rolls, but it keeps us busy. We like the energy of the 110005 area. It’s a bit chaotic, but it feels like where business is supposed to happen. We just take it one day at a time, selling fabric and making sure the bills are paid. It's not a glamorous life, but it works for us and our families.
