I’ve been doing photography around New Delhi for quite some time now. I don’t have a big corporate office, I mostly just work out of my gear bag and a small desk at home. Most of my days are spent traveling from one side of the city to the other for different shoots. Delhi is a big place and there is always something going on that’s worth a photo. I handle everything myself, from taking the calls to doing the actual editing late at night. It’s a lot of work but I like the freedom of not being stuck in one building all day. I’ve done all sorts of jobs, from small parties to street scenes. My camera is pretty old but it still takes great shots, and I know how to get the best out of it. Sometimes I’ll be out in Old Delhi or down in South Delhi depending on what someone needs. I don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe what I do. I just take pictures that look real. People usually call me because they saw my work at a friend's place or on social media. It's a one-man show, really. I keep my bags packed and ready to go whenever a call comes in. It’s a busy life, but it suits me just fine. I just like being behind the lens more than anything else.
