Fully Beaded Bags

Our workshop is at No. 407 M-2 in Street No. 1, over in the Anand Parbat area. It’s a busy neighborhood with lots of small businesses tucked into every corner. We focus on making bags that have a lot of beadwork on them. It’s very slow and detailed work, so the place is usually pretty quiet. Everyone is concentrated on their own task. We have bins full of different colored beads all over the place. If you aren't careful, you’ll end up stepping on a stray one. The building we are in is old and has a lot of character, though the stairs can be a bit steep. We’ve been in Anand Parbat for a while and we like being around other people who are making things. It feels like a community of workers. We don't have a fancy front office. Most of the space is taken up by worktables and the bags we are currently finishing. Sometimes we sit together for lunch and talk about things other than work. It’s a small group of us. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop around. We just want to make sure the bags we finish are done right. The lighting isn't the best, so we use extra lamps on the tables. It’s just how we get by, one bead at a time. It's a long day when we have to count all the beads for a new batch. We usually end up with sore backs, but we've been doing this for years.
