Aman Resorts

This is our office for Aman Resorts, but it’s not what you’d expect if you’ve seen the fancy pictures of the resorts. We are in the DDA Flats at Bindapur, which is in the Uttam Nagar area of New Delhi. It’s a very busy residential area with lots of families and small shops around. Our unit is D-232. It’s a regular flat that we’ve turned into an office space. We handle a lot of the administrative side of things from here. There are a couple of rooms with desks and plenty of cupboards for all the files we keep. New Delhi is always loud with horns and people, and you can hear all of that from our windows. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea throughout the day. It’s a lot of paperwork and computer work, managing the bookings and talking to the other locations. We aren't out there by the pool or anything; we are just here in the city making sure the back-end stuff stays organized. The stairs up to the flat are a bit narrow, so we don't move heavy things often. It’s a very grounded place to work. We just focus on getting the tasks done and making sure all the records are in the right place. It’s a humble spot for such a big name, but it works for what we need to do every day without complaining.
