The hotel is located in Karol Bagh at Naiwala 1033/17. It is right in the middle of all the mechanical shops and the spare parts market. It gets very noisy outside with the bikes and the horns honking all day long. I work at the desk and help people with their bags or show them to their rooms. The rooms are simple and we try to keep the linens as clean as possible. The plumbing in Karol Bagh can be a bit tricky sometimes, so I often have to call the repairman. We have a lot of people staying who are here for business in the market. The stairs are a bit steep and we do not have a very big lobby. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in. I spend my time checking people in and making sure the water tanks are full. It is not a luxury place, just a spot to sleep for the night. The neighborhood is always energetic and there is food everywhere you look on the street. We do not have a big staff, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from cleaning to answering the phone. It is a busy life at 1033/17. We just try to keep things running smoothly for the guests who come and go from the market.
