Chovisi School

Chovisi School has been a part of Kabilpore for quite a long time. If you walk down the main road in Navsari, you’ll find us easily enough. We aren't a big institution with glass windows and air conditioning. It’s a simple brick building. The paint is peeling a bit in the corners, but it’s sturdy. We have children coming in from all over the 396424 area. Most of us who work here grew up in these same streets. It feels natural to be teaching the next generation of our own neighbors. Mornings are loud with the sound of kids running around the playground before the first bell rings. We don't use much technology, mostly just chalkboards and notebooks. It works for us. The classes are usually full, and sometimes we have to squeeze in an extra desk. Nobody really minds. During the rainy season, we have to watch out for leaks in the roof, but we manage. The parents are often busy with work, so they trust us to look after their children during the day. We don't do big advertisements or anything. Most people hear about us from their cousins or friends. We just provide a place for local kids to get their lessons and play with their friends. It’s a humble setup, but it’s what Kabilpore has. We are just here doing the daily work of running a school for the families around here.
