A P Mavani Highschool Surat

A P Mavani Highschool is situated out in the Poghej Chhatariya area. Even though the name mentions Surat, the pin code 396521 actually puts us closer to Navsari. It is a school, so you can imagine it gets quite noisy during the day with all the kids running around the halls. We have a simple building with classrooms that have seen many years of students passing through. The teachers here are just local people trying to help the kids learn their basic subjects and get through their exams. We do not have all the fancy technology you see in the big city schools, but we have enough to get by. There is a small yard where the students play and the classrooms have the usual benches and boards. Every morning, you can hear the assembly starting from quite a distance down the road. We handle the registrations and the exam paperwork from the small office near the main entrance. It is a lot of handwriting in big registers and keeping track of daily attendance. Sometimes the fans do not work and it gets quite hot in the rooms, but everyone is used to it by now. We have some trees around the grounds which give us a bit of shade during the breaks. It is a community place more than anything else. Parents come by to talk, and we tell them the truth.
