Bai Navajbai Tata Girls High School

Our school, Bai Navajbai Tata Girls High School, sits at 5-1852, Dastur Wad, Main Road. We’re right by Golwad Gate in Navsari, which is a pretty busy spot with all the traffic and people moving about. It’s been here at 396445 for a long time, and many generations of girls from the neighborhood have walked through these doors. The building feels old and has that specific smell of old paper and chalk that you only find in schools. We have rooms for different subjects and a courtyard where the girls gather for assembly in the mornings. It’s a bit crowded sometimes because of where we are located on the main road, but we manage just fine. People in Navsari know the name well. We don't go for anything too flashy here. The focus is just on the daily schedule and making sure the students are where they need to be. The staff room is usually full of notebooks that need grading, and there is always a tea kettle going somewhere. Life here follows a rhythm of bells and shouting in the hallways between classes. It isn’t perfect, and the stairs are a bit steep, but it’s home for us for several hours every day. We just keep things moving, helping the girls learn what they can before they move on to whatever comes next in their lives. It is a lot of work, but we are used to the pace.
