Pactel Telecommunication

We operate out of the Swamidas Co Op Housing Society in Navi Mumbai. Our unit is number 101 and it's where everything happens for us. Being in a housing society means it’s a bit quieter than the main commercial blocks which is nice for getting work done. We deal with telecommunication stuff which basically means helping people stay connected. It’s a lot of cables and technical settings and making sure signals are clear. Navi Mumbai has grown so much since we first started here. We remember when there were fewer buildings around. Now it’s quite a busy hub. Our day usually starts early with checking on connections and answering calls from people having trouble with their lines. It’s a hands-on kind of job. We don't wear suits or have big board meetings. We just sit around our desks and figure out how to fix things when they break. Sometimes we have to go out on-site to look at equipment but mostly we are right here in the society office. The rain during monsoon can be a real pain for the equipment but we do our best to keep everything running. It’s just us doing our part in the big world of phones and internet. People in the building know us well and sometimes they drop by for a chat while we are working. It's a decent way to spend the day and we like the technical challenges that come up.
