D Shankarlal Co. is based in the Vashi APMC Market 2. We are at Shop No. C-27 in Sector 19. If you’ve ever been to the APMC market, you know it’s a chaotic and busy place. There are trucks everywhere and people shouting and moving goods all day long. We fit right into that. Our shop isn't a showroom. It’s a place where work happens. We’ve been in this sector for a long time now. We know how the market works and we know the other traders around Plot 19-A. We don't have a website with fancy photos. We just have our shop and our reputation. People come to us because they know we are here every day. It’s a lot of manual work and long hours, especially in the early mornings. We don't complain about it though. It’s just the nature of the business in Vashi. We drink a lot of tea and talk to anyone who stops by. It’s a very grounded way to work. No one wears a suit here. We just wear what’s comfortable for a day of labor. It’s a straightforward life in the market. We don't have a fancy logo or a marketing plan. We just open the shutters and start the day. Sometimes things are slow and sometimes it’s madness. That is just how it goes here.
