Out here in Midc Rabale, things are always a bit loud and dusty. C.S. Diesel Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is right in the middle of all that industrial noise. We spend our days dealing with engines and parts that are usually covered in some kind of oil or grease. It’s a tough environment, especially when the Mumbai heat kicks in, but we are used to it by now. The workshop is full of heavy tools and big pieces of metal. We don’t have a fancy lobby or any air-conditioned offices that stay clean for long. Most of us have dirt under our fingernails and we’re okay with that. It’s honest work. We see a lot of trucks and heavy vehicles coming through this part of Maharashtra every day. Our day starts early before the sun gets too hot, and we usually wrap up when the light starts to fade. There is always something that needs fixing or a part that needs to be sourced from somewhere else. We know the other shops around Rabale and sometimes we borrow tools from each other. It’s a community of workers. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to make us look polished. What you see is just a bunch of people who know how engines work and spend their time making sure they keep running. It’s busy, it’s messy, and it’s how we’ve always done it. We just focus on the machines and the work.
