Our place is at D-207 in the TTC Industrial Area, over in the MIDC part of Turbhe. Being in Navi Mumbai means we have a bit more space than the shops in the city center, but it’s still a very busy industrial zone. We are Cpec Engg. Ltd., and we’ve been here in Maharashtra for quite a while. The building is a standard industrial unit. Inside, it's mostly equipment and benches for the engineering work we do. It’s a lot of metalwork and looking at blueprints. We don't have any fancy offices. If you need to talk to someone, you’ll probably find them out on the floor with the guys. We do regular engineering jobs, nothing too fancy, just the stuff that keeps other industries going. The air in Turbhe always smells a bit like salt and exhaust, but that's just the neighborhood. We show up early, get the machines warmed up, and work through the list of tasks for the day. We aren't interested in being the biggest name in Mumbai. We just want to do our jobs and keep the business running. Some days are slow, and we spend time cleaning the tools, while other days we are working late to finish a big order. It’s just a normal engineering firm. We deal with things as they come and try to stay productive. There is always something to weld or fix around here.
