We’ve been here at R-266 in the Rabale MIDC area for quite some time now. It’s a busy spot in the T.T.C. Industrial Area of Navi Mumbai, and there is always some noise from the machines or trucks passing by. Our day starts early, usually around eight when the shutters go up and the team starts getting things ready on the floor. It’s mostly engineering work here at Tinita Engineering Pvt. Ltd., dealing with metals and different parts that need fixing or making. Sometimes the heat in Navi Mumbai gets a bit much, especially in the afternoons when the workshop gets warm, but we just keep at it. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular shop where we get our hands dirty every day. People come by asking if we can handle specific jobs, and we just look at the drawings and say what we can do. There is always a lot of grease around, and the floor is never really spotless because that is just how it is when you are working with tools and heavy components. We have a small office area where we keep the paperwork, but most of the real work happens out back. It’s a straightforward life here. We don’t have any big corporate meetings, just quick talks over tea about what needs to be finished before the day ends. Most of us have been working in this industrial zone for years, so we know the neighbors and how things move around here.
