If you head down to D. No 4/184 in Nandikotkur, that's where we keep the office for Harish Teja Farmer Producer Company Limited. It’s just a plain building, nothing special to look at, but it’s where all the decisions happen. We are a bunch of farmers who realized that we could do a lot more if we pooled our resources. Nandikotkur is a good place to live, though the weather can be a real pain sometimes. We deal with all sorts of crops, depending on what the season allows. There’s always someone stopping by to complain about the pests or talk about the latest government rules that none of us quite understand. We try to help each other out with getting better seeds and making sure we don't get cheated when it’s time to sell. It’s not a polished operation. There are piles of bags in the corner and sometimes the electricity goes out right when we’re trying to type something up. But we’ve lived here all our lives and we know the soil better than anyone else. We aren't trying to be some massive company. We just want to keep our farms running and maybe save a little money by working as a group. If you drop by, you’ll probably find us drinking tea and arguing about the next harvest. It’s just how we do things here, plain and simple. We aren't perfect, but we're trying to keep the land productive.
