Dudhodi is a quiet little spot in the Karjat area of Ahmednagar. That’s where you’ll find Siddhinath Agro Producer Company Limited, at house number 553. We’ve been part of this village for as long as I can remember. The work we do is just standard agro stuff, nothing that would surprise anyone who knows about farming. We spend our days out in the dirt and our evenings talking about what the next day holds. It’s not a polished operation with shiny desks. Most of our meetings happen sitting on a bench or standing in the field. We joined up as a producer company because it’s easier to handle the business side of things when there’s a group of us. Ahmednagar can be a tough place to farm when the rain doesn't show up, so we rely on each other a lot. We don't have any interest in sounding like a big corporation. We’re just local people who know the land and know how much work it takes to grow anything. The house number 553 is where the records are kept, but the real work happens outside. We don't use any fancy language to describe what we do. It’s just farming, plain and simple. We wake up, we work, and we hope for a good harvest like everyone else in the village. The village life is all we know and it's plenty enough for us to deal with.
