Our school sits right on the Kabilar Malai Main Road in Paundamangalam. If you’re driving through Namakkal, you’ll probably pass us. It’s a pretty long stretch of road and it gets dusty when the wind picks up. We have students from all over the local area coming in every morning, some on bicycles and others walking. The building is quite large because we handle both high school and higher secondary levels. It gets a bit chaotic during the exam months when everyone is stressed and carrying around those heavy guidebooks. The teachers are usually seen huddled in the staff room drinking tea or checking papers between their classes. We have a playground out back, though the grass doesn't grow very well in this heat. You’ll see kids hanging out there during the breaks, mostly just talking or playing a quick game. The hallways are wide, and the walls have a few scuffs from years of students moving through them. It’s a practical place, really. We focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the kids show up on time. Paundamangalam is a quiet enough town, but the main road keeps things feeling busy. We don’t have anything too modern or fancy, just the basic classrooms and labs that a school needs to function. Most of us have been working here for years, so we’ve seen a lot of families come and go through these doors.
