Pasiyapuram School

Pasiyapuram School is situated right on the Thiruchengode Namakkal Main Road in Siluvampatti, Namakkal - 637003. If you are driving by on the highway, you will see our building standing there. It is a local spot where the kids from the nearby villages come for their daily lessons. We have been here for a good number of years now. The day starts with the morning bell and then it is just classes one after another until the afternoon. We have a playground, though it is mostly just dirt and some patches of grass where the kids run around. The rooms are fairly basic but they do the job for teaching. Most of the teachers live around the Namakkal area and they come in early every morning. We don't have a lot of extra stuff, just what is needed for the students to do their work. Sometimes the dust from the main road gets into the front rooms, so we have to spend time cleaning it out. It is a simple life here and we like it that way. The kids play during the breaks and then head back inside when the whistle blows. We try to keep things organized but it is a busy place with so many children running about. People in the village know us well and we see them often. We just do our work and go home to our families. There is nothing complicated about it. It’s a regular place for people to learn.
