R K B Hello Bricks

We are out here in Pherumal Kovilmiadu, which is part of the Puduchatram Post area. It’s mostly just us and the bricks every day. My family has lived around here for a long time, so when we started R K B Hello Bricks, it felt like the right thing to do with the land. The mud here is good for making bricks, though the weather sometimes makes things difficult. When it rains too much, we have to stop everything and wait for the ground to dry out, which can be pretty frustrating for everyone. Our workers live nearby and they know the routine well. We don’t really do much fancy stuff, just making sure the bricks get fired right in the kiln. Sometimes a batch doesn't come out perfect, but that's just how it goes with this kind of work. People from the village come by to pick up what they need for their houses. It’s a dusty job and my clothes are always stained red by the end of the shift. We spend a lot of time just moving stacks from one side of the yard to the other. There is always a lot of noise from the tractors coming in and out. It’s not a quiet life but it keeps us busy. We just keep our heads down and try to get the orders filled before the next monsoon season hits us again.
