Kasthuri Fly Ash Bricks

We are located at No: 1, right on the Vennandur Pirivu Road in Athanur. It’s a dusty kind of business, as you’d expect with fly ash bricks. The yard is usually covered in a fine grey powder that gets on everything—the trucks, the machinery, and definitely our clothes. Out here in Rasipuram, the days can get really hot, and standing near the production area isn't for everyone. We start early, usually before the sun is too high, to get the mixing done. The sound of the brick press is the heartbeat of this place. We spend a lot of time checking the hardness of the bricks and making sure they’re stacked properly so they don’t break. It’s heavy work, and by the end of the day, everyone is pretty tired. We don't have fancy signs or a polished showroom. It’s just the shed, the yard, and the bricks. People drive their tractors in to pick up loads, and we spend a lot of time chatting with the drivers while they wait. The road outside can get a bit busy with local traffic, but it’s mostly quiet enough to hear the birds in the nearby trees. We just keep our heads down and focus on making sure the piles of bricks are ready for whoever needs them next. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, and we’ve been doing it this way for quite some time now without much change.
