National Public School

Down here on Mohanur Road in Namakkal, things stay pretty busy. Our school, National Public School, is right in the middle of it. The traffic on Mohanur Road can be a bit much in the mornings, but we have a rhythm for getting the kids safely through the gate. It is a standard building, maybe needs a fresh coat of paint in some spots, but it serves us well. Inside, you’ll find the usual setup of desks, blackboards, and posters on the walls. The teachers are mostly local people who have been around for quite some time. We don't spend much money on fancy brochures; we just focus on the kids sitting in the classrooms. During the summer, it gets really hot in Namakkal, so we make sure the fans are always running at full speed. There’s a bit of a play area out back where the kids play football or just chase each other around. We spend our days grading papers, talking to parents about their kids' progress, and making sure the school bell rings when it’s supposed to. It’s a lot of work, and sometimes we run out of chalk or the printer acts up, but we are used to the routine by now. Everyone knows the school on Mohanur Road. We are just here doing the daily work of running a school for the local community.
