Even though our name says Chennai, we are actually located at 10/13-K in Ganganaickkan Patti, over in Namakkal. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here but this is where the work happens. The area of Sevitturangan Patti is mostly quiet, filled with people who know each other. We handle the marketing and distribution for various goods from this spot. The building is simple, just some concrete walls and a sturdy roof to keep the rain off the stock. We spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating with people in the city and checking on where the trucks are. It’s not the most exciting work but it’s what we know. The heat in Mohanur can be quite something in the summer months so we try to get the heavy work done early in the morning. We don't have a lot of fancy technology here, just the basics to keep the records straight and the orders moving out the door. Sometimes we have tea with the drivers when they arrive to pick up a load. It’s a slow pace of life in some ways, but we stay busy enough to keep the lights on. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a big office. We just show up every day and do what’s required. The local roads can be a bit rough for the bigger lorries but they eventually find their way to our gate.
