Sowmya Traveks

Sowmya Traveks is tucked away in Nandheeswara Colony at H. No. 7-1-155, 9/855. If you know where the BSNL office is on Panagal Road, we are right opposite that. It’s a handy landmark because everyone knows the telephone office. Our office is a simple room where we handle travel bookings and talk to people about their trips. It’s often noisy outside because Panagal Road is quite a main stretch with lots of scooters and buses passing by all the time. Inside, we have a couple of desks, some maps pinned to the wall, and a computer that’s seen better days. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking schedules. It’s not a big corporate travel agency, just a local spot where people come in to figure out their bus or train tickets. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to sit in the shade for a bit. We keep a diary of all the bookings, though most things are digital now. The colony is usually quiet in the mid-morning after the school buses go, but the main road stays busy. We deal with lots of paperwork and ticket printing every day. It’s a lot of coordination, making sure everyone gets where they need to go without too much fuss. We’ve been operating from this house number for a good bit now. It’s a practical space that serves its purpose for us and the folks in the colony. We just stay busy with the schedules.
