The Visvesvaraya National Institute Of Technology has a presence at Cpwd Qrt. No. 7, Type-Iii (Old) on Balaji Mandir Road. This is up in the Seminary Hills area of Nagpur, which is a bit of a quieter part of the city compared to the main center. It is an older building, one of those CPWD quarters that has been around for decades. You can see the history in the walls and the way the rooms are laid out. We spend our days here dealing with the day-to-day operations of the institute. The road outside, Balaji Mandir Road, is usually lined with trees and it feels a bit more relaxed than the busy markets. People come and go, mostly staff and folks who have lived in the quarters for years. It is a very lived-in environment. We do not have any high-tech gadgets or modern decor in this specific office. It is mostly wooden tables and old cabinets filled with records. The fan hums all day long while we work. Nagpur gets very hot in the summer, so we mostly stay inside and try to keep cool. It is a humble place to be part of such a big name like Visvesvaraya National Institute Of Technology. We just do our bit from this small corner of Seminary Hills and keep the routine going every single week.
