Ashish Engineering

Our workshop is located out in the W 2/2 MIDC area, over by Hingana in the Vasant Vihar Colony section. It is a loud place because of the machines, but that is just how an engineering shop works. We spend most of our time dealing with metal, cutting parts, and making sure things fit together like they are supposed to. Some days the floor is covered in shavings and we have to spend an hour just cleaning up so we can see the ground again. It gets hot in the MIDC, especially in the afternoons, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy with the orders. We do a lot of different jobs, some small repairs and some bigger parts that take a few days to get right. Ashish Engineering isn't a huge factory, it’s a practical space where we focus on the task at hand. We have our tools and our machines and we know how to use them. People from around the colony know where we are if they need something fixed or fabricated. We don't spend much time on the computer, mostly we are on our feet working. It’s honest work and we take it as it comes. Sometimes we have a backlog of work, so we just put our heads down and get through it. That is basically what goes on here every day. We just focus on the metal and the machines until the job is done.
