Star Engineering

If you head over toward Banganga Naka and look near the Kushwaha Nagar Square, you’ll find us at number 83 in Ganga Bag. Star Engineering is basically a workshop where we deal with all sorts of metal jobs and repairs. It’s not the easiest place to keep clean, especially with the welding and the grinding going on most of the day. There’s usually a bit of a hum from the machines that you can hear from the street before you even walk in. We’ve got stacks of iron rods and sheets leaning against the walls, and the floor is usually covered in metal shavings. It’s a practical setup, meant for getting things done rather than looking pretty for visitors. The square nearby is always busy, so we get a lot of people stopping by asking if we can fix a broken gate or weld something back together for their small business. We don't have a big front office or a receptionist. You just walk in and talk to whoever isn't wearing a welding mask at the moment. Some days are slower, spent just cleaning the tools or organizing the scrap pile, but usually, there’s a pile of work waiting for us. It’s a bit hot in the summer with the torches running, but we have a few old fans that keep the air moving. We’ve been in this part of Ganga Bag long enough that the locals know us by name.
