R. V. Engineering

R. V. Engineering is located right opposite the Prathivi Garden Restaurant on the Makhtupur Highway. It’s a good landmark because everyone around here knows that restaurant. Being on the highway means we see a lot of trucks and cars passing by all day long, which keeps things from being boring. The workshop is a straightforward place. We’ve got our lathes and milling machines set up to handle whatever comes in the door. It’s just a regular engineering shop where the floor is always a bit oily and there's a hum from the motors. We started this place because we knew the trade and wanted to work for ourselves. It’s had its share of slow times and busy times, like any other small business. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that hanging on the wall. We just have a calendar and some notes about current jobs. The noise from the highway blends in with the sound of our tools. Sometimes people pull over thinking we're a mechanic shop, and we have to point them down the road. We stick to what we know, which is general engineering and fabrication. Most of our tools are old but reliable, and we know exactly how to fix them when they act up. It’s a basic setup, but it gets the job done for the people who come to see us. We’re usually here from early morning until the sun goes down.
