Our place at J-7 on MIDC Hingna Road is where Pix Transmissions operates from. It’s a large enough space for what we do, which is mostly focused on belts and transmission parts. If you’ve been around this part of Nagpur, you probably know the area gets quite hot in the summer, which makes the factory floor a bit tough to work in some days. We just open the doors and keep going. The machines are loud and they run pretty much all day long. We have a lot of different people working here, some who have stayed for a long time and some new faces. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll see people in suits. We wear work clothes because things get dusty and oily. It is a very hands-on environment. We produce a lot of different sizes of belts for all sorts of machinery. Most of the time, the focus is just on the schedule and making sure the quality is decent before anything leaves the gate. We don't have a marketing department writing fancy stories about us. We just make the parts. J-7 is an old building, but it serves its purpose well. If you come by to visit, watch your step because there is usually stuff being moved around on pallets. We just stay focused on the tasks at hand and try to get the orders filled so the trucks can take them where they need to go. It keeps us busy.
