Kalra Auto Parts

Our shop is Kalra Auto Parts, situated at Nilgiri 30 on Central Avenue. We are right by the Deepanjali Theater Chowk. It is a very busy intersection. There is always someone honking outside or people walking to catch a movie. Inside the shop, it’s a bit of a mess, but we know where everything is. We have shelves stacked high with gaskets, spark plugs, and filters. If you need a specific part for an old car, we probably have it buried in a box somewhere in the back. The counters are a bit greasy because we are always handling metal parts. We don't have a fancy display window. Most people just walk in and ask for what they need. We’ve been here long enough that we recognize the regulars who come in with grease on their hands. Dealing with car parts is practical work. You have to be patient when a customer doesn't know the exact name of the part they want. We just look through the catalogues or go by memory. It gets dusty because of the road traffic, but we wipe things down when we can. It’s just a local shop. We open early and stay until the theater crowd thins out. It’s not a corporate chain, just a family-run spot trying to keep the neighborhood’s cars running. We’ve seen the area change a lot, but the shop stays mostly the same, filled with bits and pieces of engines.
